Who Is Jonn Casey?
You may be wondering who is this crazy guy who owns all these snakes, spiders, and other creatures and goes around talking about them and encouraging his audience to touch, hold, and experience these creatures first-hand. His name is Jonn Casey and he is a teacher, biologist, and all-around funny guy.
Jonn's program was a favorite of school children, scouts, and adults in the Northwest Missouri area. Jonn has presented programs for libraries, summer school programs, scouts, county/town fairs, museums, Super Science Saturday at MWSU, Camp Quality, birthday parties, and many others. He made numerous appearances on KQTV and is often featured in the St. Joseph News-Press.
The Casey's Creatures program educated people about animals in a fun and exciting way. The squeals that Jonn often elicited from his audience were from pure delight rather than from fear of the many live creatures Jonn presents. Jonn had furs, bones, shells, antlers, and many other parts of animals, as well as live snakes, lizards, arachnids, cockroaches, etc. for hands-on learning and interaction.
Jonn has won numerous awards for education, including:
